Announcements History

(7/12/14) ATTENTION: One of our questions quoted the optic nerve/chiasm QUANTEC dose constraint for radiosurgery as 12 Gy.  It is important to note that this Dmax keeps the risk of radiation-induced optic neuropathy (RION) <10%.  A Dmax of 8 Gy will "rarely" cause RION.  The question has been clarified, but we want to make sure all users are aware of this subtlety.  For further reading, please reference: QUANTEC Optic Nerves and Chiasm Mayo et al.
